ABOUT THE BUCKEYE CHEF

Hi, I’m Chef Robert Olinger — the heart and hands behind Buckeye Chef.

I’m a professionally trained personal chef based in Central Ohio, specializing in elevated private dining experiences, intimate catered events, and customized in-home meal preparation designed entirely around you.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, I built my culinary foundation on classical technique, precision, and respect for the craft. Over the years, I’ve served as an Executive Chef in a variety of high-level environments — including private country clubs, upscale banquet facilities, luxury retirement communities, restaurants, and hotels — leading teams, designing menus, and executing large-scale events with consistency and excellence.

My work has earned recognition both in the kitchen and beyond it. I’ve been honored with the People’s Choice Award two consecutive years, and have been featured on regional television and radio programs, sharing both my culinary expertise and my passion for hospitality.
